THANKSGIVING WEEKEND

We had a great weekend with my family over the Thanksgiving Holiday. My sister, Lucy and her husband, Jay and their kids, my brother, Jonathan and his wife, Tara, and their 3 kids as well as my sister, Maureen, all came to celebrate the holiday with us. Lucy,Tara and Christopher did all the work for the Thanksgiving meal. We had the usual: turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, corn, cranberry sauce, fruit salad and rolls, followed by pumpkin, lemon meringue and caramel apple pie. It was a great dinner and I think everyone ate their fill:)

Everyone had a good time visiting and the cousins all had a blast playing together. Caleb, Ansel and Seth played football pretty much all day on Thursday and Friday morning. Caleb commentated the whole time and I think Ansel finally figured out the game, thanks to his football fanatic cousins. Jonas, Alyssa and Sammy all played well together and found the storage space under our stairway a great hideout and fort. Owen pretty much played on his own or with the others when he was so inclined. Natalie warmed up to the crowd and is just a real cutie. She liked looking at the movie cases and books in the family room. She likes to dance and showed her somersault. Henry crawled around and was fascinated with anything that was other than a toy. He has a huge smile that lights up his face and is so cute! Sadie was content to be held by everyone and now that everyone has left, still wants to be held. Should be an interesting week:)

We have so much to be grateful and I'm so glad that we were able to be partly together as a family this holiday. I love that my boys love their cousins and it's fun to get together and talk about the "good old times." Of course we missed those who weren't with us, but look forward to other times when we will be together!
