Friday we woke up and went to the stone yards. We went in search of granite for our kitchen counter tops. After a couple of hours of looking we met up with Jon and Tara and Natalie for a leisurely lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. It was good to catch up and visit with them.

We then went back to the one stone yard that we had found something we liked at and had them pull the slabs so we could really look at them. This place was the biggest of all the stone yards. Here's an example of one row.

There are probably at least 12 more rows like this. This is one of the first slabs we were drawn to and this will be our future kitchen counter tops! It's hard to get good pictures and since I forgot to put my memory card in my camera from my last download I only had 3 pictures I could store on my camera. So here's my best attempt at the picture.

It has a lot of earthy colors and will look great with the cabinets and floor.
After getting that done, we headed back to the hotel and went to the gym for our hour workout. After that we treated ourselves to massages. After quickly getting ready it was off to the Seattle Temple for a 7:30 session. We haven't been to a big temple for quite awhile and it was so different! It was a full session and by the time we left it was after 9:30. We headed back to the Cheesecake Factory (this one in Bellevue Square) and had cheesecake for dessert!
Saturday it was overcast, but at least not rainy, so we walked for an hour from the hotel to the downtown area of Yarrow Bay and back. It is an active community with lots of walkers, joggers and bikers. A beautiful area of Seattle! We then had a quick breakfast at Starbucks and then off to get ready and check out.
We then spent Saturday shopping. We went to a few places in Bell Square, had a quick lunch at Chipotle and then went to North Bend to shop the outlets. We stopped on our way home in Yakima to eat and went to Santiago's, a really good gourmet Mexican place. We made it home around 9:30. It was a great weekend away!
