May Hodgepodge

I was going through my pictures and have a bunch that don't make up a whole blog post, so I decided to do a post and put them in all together.

  • Owen working on his Wolf...we went to the City of Richland building and toured around. We got a behind the scene tour of where they broadcast their local channel. Sadie is our sidekick.

  • Field trip to the landfill with Owen. Owen woke up not feeling well, but had been so excited for this field trip, so he stayed home in the morning and then we went on the trip. It was actually very interesting and  a first for me. You can tell Owen didn't feel well when he fell asleep on the bus ride home.

  • So grateful that 2nd grade homework is over!

  • Sadie had her preschool "day at the park" to celebrate summer birthdays. It's always at Howard Amon, which she loves, so it was a good time.

  • I had a garage sale and got rid of a buch of stuff that has been accumulating in our lives. Made almost $500 too!

  • Christopher took the boys camping for the Aaronic Priesthood Commemoration (father/sons) so Sadie and I had a night out. She chose to go to Carls Jr. We also got her a new scooter (we sold her trike and old scooter in the garage sale) and got in the hot tub.

"Mom & Sadie"

  • I told Ansel he could read the Hunger Games series this year and he finally got around to it. Once he started he read them pretty quickly. In this picture, he came right in from school and sat down to finish his book.

  • Lunch with Hannah and Lilly. Lilly (and Hannah & Brandon) moved last week to Spokane. We are sure going to miss them. I think Sadie will especially miss her weekly one on one time with Hannah and Lilly.

  • Marketplace--Jonas decided with some friends that for marketplace they wanted to do a skee ball station. So Jonas and Christopher built this cool skee ball game and he invited  his friends over to paint it. I still need to get a picture of the final project. It turned out really well.

  • Another field trip for Owen--this was to Amon Basin back behind our neighborhood. It was slightly raining the entire time and Owen didn't bring a sweatshirt, so he was sort of grumpy. We made it through though. They also had a demonstration by  a local "birds of prey" group, which Owen found especially interesting (especially after long lectures about native plants, etc.).

  • I love that Christopher is hands on dad. He loves putting the kids to bed and spending time with them.

  • Ansel and some of his friends were recruited by a mutual soccer playing friend to be "buddies" for mentally and physically challenged kids who want to play soccer. He's been going every Monday evening and helping out.

  • Jonas studied Spartan Warriors for his Specialties project...here he is dressed up for the Specialties fair as a Spartan Warrior.

Nothing too exciting, but that's what's been going on! We are gearing up for SUMMER next week!
