Jonas' birthday was the week after getting home, so we had to plan some stuff while we were still on the road. One of those was having Caleb come for the week. He came Tuesday night and flew home the following Monday. I think he had a good time, but it was great that he was there for Jonas' birthday. Jonas' birthday was on a Wednesday this year. We decided it would be fun to go to Hermiston in the afternoon to swim and play.
We came home, cleaned up and met Christopher at Red Robin for dinner and round one of singing and birthday treat.
Then we came home for round 2...The cake was definitely not pretty this year, but it still tasted good.
Money from Grandma and Grandpa Hatch
A Ken Griffey Jr. bobblehead from Caleb
A new athletic bag and a few pair of Elites from Mom and Dad
Jonas really wanted to go camping with friends for his birthday, but we decided a pizza party and photo scavenger hunt would be better. Christopher put together a mega list that left the boys searching for almost 2 hours. They had a great time and then Ansel and his friend put the pictures together in a video to watch.
Sunday, Jonas was ordained as a deacon and given the Aaronic priesthood. He got a new suit as well for his birthday and just looked so handsome as he went up on stage to be sustained.
Happy Birthday Jonas--You are finally as old as your shoe size!
