Ansel turns 16!

The weekend after school got out, Christopher took Owen and Sadie to Southern Oregon to a Childers reunion with his parents and his Dad's siblings and cousins. I stayed home with Ansel and Jonas. Ansel's birthday was on Friday and he wanted to stay home and get his license and go to a party that his friends were throwing for him. It's hard to believe that Ansel is old enough to be 16 years old! 

Because he had already taken drivers ed and taken his test, all he had to do was go in and get his picture and sign his name. 

We got some lunch at Bamboo Garden.

He basically got his Christmas presents that he had lost...a new bathroom bag and razor.

He and Jonas had fun driving around. 

He also went on his first date. He and a couple of friends asked some girls out and they planned to go mini-golfing and have a bonfire. He said he had a good time.

We celebrated as a family once Christopher and the other kids got home. We grilled burgers and Ansel requested a banana cream pie for his dessert.

He opened the few cards he got from his Grandmas and Grandpas and siblings...

Since Grandma and Grandpa didn't get home until after church, Bishop Mitchell came over in the evening and Ansel ordained Ansel to a priest. He got a new suit and is basically the best looking 16 year old I've ever seen!
