The next day was our big hike to Grinnell Glacier. We woke up pretty early and found the clouds low as we went over the mountain.
We took a shuttle boat from the Many Glacier Hotel to shave off a few miles, which was fun...
On the way, the boat driver pointed out a few bears above the hiking trail. I was glad to be on the boat.
The kids all did a great job hiking and this made such a wonderful memory for our trip. I hiked this many years ago with Lucy and Jay almost 20 years earlier.
We made it down earlier than our scheduled boat time and they only had room for the kids, so we sent them to the lodge on the boat and Christopher and I hiked a few more miles back.
We found a place for some gas and a treat and found the Glacier sign so we could take our pic.
We made it back to the house in time for the kids to play in the water for a bit and enjoy another wonderful night at the house. We made dinner, watched the sun set and looked at the stars.
