Quebec City

We got to Quebec City in the late afternoon and by the time we checked into our hotel, I crawled in bed and fell asleep for an hour and half.  After that little nap, we went and walked around a bit.

There were street performers everywhere and we stopped and watched a few.  When we asked our tour guide the next day about them, he said that they have to pass an audition and hold permits to play and entertain. They were all super talented. 

After getting a good night's rest, we woke up Sunday and headed into the newer part of the city for church.  We found it and stayed just for Sacrament meeting, as it was all in French. We didn't understand anything and the lull of their beautiful language was putting us in a very sleepy state.  

We had arranged for a walking tour of "old Quebec" that afternoon, so we grabbed some lunch and walked around a bit on our own before our tour.  

Made our way up to the Parliament building, which is currently under renovation. There were beautiful flowers everywhere.  We loved this oversized flower pots. 

Outside of the Parliament building was a garden area that local restaurants used .

Loved all the cute quaint streets full of shops and restaurants.  There are also plenty of hills and climbs to the city!

It's amazing how French this city really is. I almost forgot we were still in Canada.  We really loved Quebec City.
