Last Week of Summer with Caleb

We've talked about having Caleb visit for the past few years, but this year it finally happened. Caleb flew "unassisted" to Yakima where Christopher and the kids picked him up on Saturday to enjoy our last week of summer with us. The week was great and we couldn't have enjoyed having Caleb more in our home. He (I think) had a great time as well. The best thing that I noticed about Caleb was how well he got along with all my boys. He really enjoyed and put forth effort to do things with each of them. The week was mostly spent at home playing Wii and games, but we did get out and do a few fun things, too.  We swam, played at parks, watched football practice, went on a few ice-cream runs, enjoyed a Dust Devil baseball game, went tubing out on the boat, and ate lunch at Roundtable pizza. The boys also really enjoyed having another person to do nerf gun wars with and by the end of the week I didn't want to see another bullet anywhere :)

It was a pleasure to have Caleb with us and we look forward to next time! We took Caleb back home Friday night and enjoyed a weekend away in Seattle with Christopher's parents. We shopped and ate and then hooked up with Jon and Tara for Les Miserables on Saturday night, which was wonderful! It was a fun end to summer!
