We had a great Christmas Eve this year. It was the smallest crowd we've ever had. Hannah and Brandon and Lilly weren't able to make it in time for dinner because Brandon had to work until 9 p.m. or so. Christopher invited a girl that worked for him last year to come join us and of course Sarah was here, so we had a few people besides ourselves. I gave the kids a 5 minute warning for dinner and the next thing I knew they were coming down in their Sunday best. They wanted to dress up and it was fun to have them lookin' so good. Christopher said next year he was wearing his tux....
After dinner, we let the kids open their Christmas eve pajamas so they could change before our evening program.
We had our traditional Grinch reading. Ansel, Jonas & Owen all tried out for the Grinch and all did so well, they each got the part, taking turns. Sadie scored the Cindy Lou Who part.
Each of the boys played a Christmas song. Owen's was all twelve verses of The Twelve Days of Christmas.
We then read the account of the Savior's birth from the scriptures and then of course, sang. Sarah sang O Holy Night for us and then we enjoyed singing some favorites.
The kids all said it was the best Christmas Eve ever.... I agree.
